1 1/2 ozs tequila
1/2 cup orange juice
Crushed ice
1 1/2 tsp grenadine syrup
Pour tequila & orange juice over crushed ice in a tall glass
To layer the drink, carefully pour in grenadine syrup without stirring
Garnish with an orange slice & a maraschino cherry
Serve
Stir before drinking

1 onion, chopped
1 lb ground beef
1 bell pepper, diced
Dash of pepper
1 tsp salt
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 can whole kernel corn, drained
2 (8 oz) cans tomato sauce
Saute onion, ground beef & bell pepper until beef loses red color & onion is clear
Drain well & add the corn & tomato sauce
Simmer until thick
Pour into an 11 x 7-inch or 13 x 9-inch baking dish

1 cup Masa Harina

3 Tbsp lard
3 lb beef round steak
4 garlic buds, mashed
3 ripe tomatoes, unpeeled & chopped
3 potatoes, peeled & quartered
3 carrots, cut into chunks
2 onions, sliced thick
1 tsp salt
1 tsp freshly-ground black pepper
2 bay leaves
2 1/2 cups hot water
Preheat oven to 350 deg F
Heat lard in a cast iron Dutch oven
Cut through the fatty round on the steak & brown it on both sides
Add remaining ingredients & water
Cover the Dutch oven & bake for about 1 1/2 hrs
To garnish, cut fresh jalapenos in half, scoop out the seeds, rinse & pat dry, then fill with cream cheese sprinkled with paprika or chile powder
